Elizabeth & Vlad | Cinematic Rainy-Day Wedding at Sky Manor Airport
Elizabeth and Vlad’s wedding at Sky Manor Airport felt like a scene straight out of a movie. Instead of the usual floral arches or elaborate décor, their ceremony backdrop featured two airplanes — a bold, cinematic statement that reflected their adventurous spirits. As a New York wedding photographer who loves documenting stories with emotion and atmosphere, I knew this New Jersey wedding would be one to remember.

Under a soft drizzle, the couple shared their private vows near a hidden swing tucked away behind the hangars. The misty rain, gentle light, and quiet laughter made it one of the most timeless engagements I’ve ever photographed. Their connection was pure and poetic — the kind of love that feels both cinematic and real.

After the ceremony, guests gathered at the airport lounge where a cigar bar awaited. The smell of cigars mingled with laughter and the hum of nearby planes, creating a scene that could easily belong in a vintage film. The atmosphere was effortlessly stylish — intimate, moody, and undeniably romantic.

My editorial documentary photography approach was the perfect fit for this setting. I focused on emotion over perfection, storytelling over posing — capturing fleeting glances, laughter in the rain, and the cinematic rhythm of the day. Every frame carries that sense of timeless elegance I seek in all my work, whether it’s a NYC engagement, a New Jersey wedding, or a romantic rainy-day session like this one.
